CEO H.E. Ambassador Jack Brewer to participate in United Nations Business Collaboration for Global E
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA, – December 11, 2014 – The Brewer Group, Inc. (TBG), an industry agnostic holding company with assets ranging numerous sectors, is pleased to announce that CEO, H.E. Ambassador Jack Brewer, will be attending the United Nations Global Compact in NYC to participate as a leading contributor for the Ebola Private Sector Mobilisation Group (EPSMG), a coalition of over 35 companies with major assets and operations in West Africa mobilizing business resources to support front-line Ebola humanitarian relief efforts.
Today at the United Nations, companies selected into the EPSGM will come together in the effort to determine what will make the greatest positive impact in regards to this viral epidemic. These senior leaders will deliberate with other top authorities who are well diversified and representative of humanitarian efforts. Amb. Brewer’s ability to impact the expressed needs for energy and resource procurement, pharmaceutical implementations and logistical technologies will be a major strength of this high-level meeting and organization as it moves forward. More importantly, the collaborations that can occur between these various entities could help strengthen the effectiveness of this response and develop a guide for the current and future epidemics that may unfortunately occur.
With The Brewer Group’s diversified portfolio of industries combined with the ongoing efforts of The Jack Brewer Foundation (JBF Worldwide), and by serving as Ambassador for Peace and Sport for the U.S. Federation of Middle East Peace (USFMEP) at the United Nations, Amb. Brewer’s ability to have a significant impact in this fight against Ebola through his leadership and vast global network was deemed to be an invaluable asset to this organization.
In the wake of the Ebola crisis that has devastated West Africa, coordination between participating United Nations organizations, non-profits and the private industry has been a necessity in ensuring the success of this fight to contain and eradicate this deadly disease. The EPSMG and its members will work directly with the UN’s Mission for Ebola Emergency Response (UNMEER) in order to properly allocate the hundreds of millions of dollars in funding, establish and maintain protocols, direct resources as they are made available, and develop an overall guide of how leaders in the private industry, in cooperation with United Nations humanitarian efforts, function in this and future crises.
