JBF Worldwide Brings Professional Athlete Delegation to Haiti to "Empower From Within"
MINNEAPOLIS, May 6, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Jack Brewer Foundation (JBF Worldwide) and the United States Federation for Middle East Peace (USFMEP) embark today on their 2015 JBF Worldwide Global Ambassadors trip to Port-au-Prince, Haiti to raise awareness and support for philanthropic efforts in the area. The trip is hosted by JBF Worldwide partner Panexus Haiti S.A., a general contracting firm specializing in design/build and civil engineering projects.
The trip is part of JBF Worldwide's Global Ambassadors Program, which aims to connect influential individuals to philanthropic organizations while traveling the world to make positive impacts in communities. The program focuses on initiatives such as food security; medical aid and disaster relief; education; cultural exchange; and sport for development and peace. The 2015 delegation of Global Ambassadors traveling to Haiti include Andre Berto, Clinton Portis, Takeo Spikes, Tommie Harris, Sergio Brown, Lee Evans,Marvin Austin, Carlos Emmons, Ramses Barden, and Brian Williams. The group is accompanied by models from Wilhelmina International, Inc. and representatives from the Miami Beach-based charity event, Model Beach Volleyball Tournament.
The delegation is in Haiti from May 6th-10th and will participate in a full itinerary of philanthropic endeavors alongside Starkey Hearing Foundation, Project Medishare, and Healing Hands for Haiti. Additional events include a boxing clinic with Andre Berto and a football camp hosted by NFL greats. The trip is supported by the Ministry of Sport and the Ministry of Tourism who helped accommodate Haitian excursions, receptions and press opportunities for the delegation.
