#C4CT Rebranded as #GBHC and Obtains 501c3 for Upcoming Super Bowl 50 Conference

The Global Brian Health Coalition (GBHC) is pleased to announce its rebranding efforts to bring overall brain health, education and awareness to communities worldwide.
GBHC, formerly known as the Coalition for Concussion Treatment (#C4CT), was founded in 2012 to bring together key stakeholders and thought leaders from throughout the brain health ecosystem - specific to TBI and other neurological disorders - to disseminate awareness of and ways to promote and improve the most holistic science, technology and education in brain health. By bringing together world class researchers, scientists, industry leaders and policymakers who are actively working towards identifying and developing innovative TBI prevention and treatment opportunities, #GBHC aims to disseminate and apply recommendations that will be used for education, advocacy and improve public policy.
The name change from #C4CT to #GBHC took place, and was approved, during Board Meetings in 2015, when members sat alongside other industry professionals, former professional athletes, representatives from the military, and media. During these meetings, the Board developed the game-changing name Global Brain Health Coalition to encompass a focus on total brain health, as well as challenges and treatments from around the world. Further, according to Executive Director Nicole Fisher, “As a Coalition, our goal is to create a space where all the various stakeholders and voices can converge to agree upon best practices, safely collaborate and share groundbreaking ideas.”
Together, the Board refined the mission, “To become the leading global voice for brain health awareness and empowerment by converging science, clinical research, and impact.” The #GBHC Board has since been successful in obtaining nonprofit status in order for tax-deductible donations and support to extend efforts for education and awareness opportunities in global brain health. And that new opportunity is on the horizon.
“We have already accomplished great traction in our last few years as #C4CT,” says GBHC Co-Founder, NFL Veteran, and Ambassador Jack Brewer. “It excites me to take our next Summit to a higher level with an expanded mission, support from the global brain health community, and bring together the most important voices at Super Bowl 50. I truly believe we will now be able to collaborate to make a substantial impact for many brain altering diseases worldwide.”
GBHC is currently focused on and excited to announce its rebranding efforts while executing the new mission and hosting the upcoming annual Summit – which will focus on the future of neurological technology, testing, protection, treatment and health.
